Father Christmas made a mid-August visit to Queenstown for a “white” Christmas party, one of the attractions of the town’s winter festival. Although there was no “whiteness” (there has been a serious shortage of snow in Central Otago), guests were treated to roast turkey, lamb, green peas, and plum pudding.
