ALLOCATION FOR 1975/76. Advice has been received from the Minister of Recreation and Sport that the sum of $119,420 is being made available for subsidising recreational and sporting projects within the Christchurch Citv Council area. Additional funds are available, over and above the allocation, to assist regional projects. 2. SUBSIDY RATES. (a) Subsidies will be available to a maximum of $1 for $1 for recreation and sport personnel and coaches employed by voluntary organisations. ?1 for $2 for new facilities, equipment, programmes and services or additions and improvements to them, and $1 for $1 for multi-purpose community facilities or for extensions to them. (b) Up to 10 per cent of the allocation will be used as “once only” grants to help groups who for good reason (cannot raise sufficient funds to meet their share of ! finance under the subsidy ! scheme — for example, under ; this provision establishment grants can be given to new organisations. 1 (c) A subsidy to a maxi- ! mum of $1 for $1 will be (available for multi-use com- | munity facilties of a truly regional nature.
