Support for reform
Strong support for reform ‘of New Zealand’s laws on homosexuality was given at a policy meeting of the I Lincoln College Students’ | Association. i The meeting, of more than ■l5O students, supported in {principle the Crimes Amend{ment Committee’s report to {Parliament which seeks to ■liberalise the country’s laws ion homosexuality. In line with the policy of {the New Zealand University {Students’ Association, but I until yesterday not supported as such by Lincoln College istudents, the meeting also {called on the Government to ■ lower the age of consent for i homosexual relations .to 16 jvears. consistent with that {for heterosexuals and female {homosexuals. The policy of the New Zealand association is to “urge {constituent associations to {promote sexual liberation {groups on- respective university campuses.”
