Environmental evening
An "open evening,” by the Environmental Vanguard Organisation at Aldersgate on Thursday evening was attended by about 55 people. Three films were shown, two of them made in New i Zealand. One, the "Power Dilemma,” put the case of the planners trying to cope (with the demands for power 'and the increasing concern for the environment. The i other, on the high country, (illustrated the place of such country in the over-all de.velopment of New Zealand. Those present also had an i (opportunity to peruse copies of letters and submissions! (written by the organisation: :on several topics, including (population control, historic : buildings, traffic issues, and; town planning. '
