Sweet James Marshall, the ( Californian middle-weight boxer, ; stopped Monty Betbam of New Zealand inside three rounds in Brisbane last night The fight was stopped after . Betham fell to the canvas and was unable to get up for the count. Betham’s connections said later that the New Zealander had suffered a recurrence of a thumb injury which had been troubling him before the fight.
