Gaol term on drug charge
CVZ Press Association > AUCKLAND. May 13. A man was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment when he appeared in the ! Supreme Court Auckland today in connection with an incident involving a quantity of drugs being thrown over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Before Mr Justice Wilson,’ Alan Leslie Jennings, aged 39, a salesman, admitted a charge of possessing narcot- ; lies for the purpose of sup-1 ply. Sentencing Jennings, his Honour said he accepted that, accused was not involved! .in trafficking. He told! Jennings that he could not i say he was addicted “as tells us it is a, inon-addictive drug.”
