Russell Grace selection
Rosemary Farquhar is the only newcomer in the Canterbury Russell Grace golf team for the inter-provincial tournament at Otatara. However, the tournament will not be a new experience for Mrs Farquhar. She represented South Canterbury last year, playing at No. 3. Mrs Farquhar will replace Mary Ensor, who was not available. Sue Bishop, Sue Boag, Vai Cullen, and Jeanette Kinnaird, members of the victorious Canterbury team last year, haver retained their places. The experience of Mrs Farquhar probably gained her selection ahead of Sue Whitaker, who was named reserve. But Mrs Whitaker must be considered unlucky. She finished four strokes ahead of Mrs Farquhar in the Canterbury matchplay qualifying rounds and won her first round match. Mrs Farquhar was eliminated in the first round. iThe playing order of the team has not been de-: tided.
