Wool prices up at Auckland

(Sew Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. April in. ' Wool prices rose at the Auckland sale today.

The official report said that compared with the last Christchurch sale full fleece Was in sellers’ favour, first lambs’ wool and second-shear were 2| to 5 per cent dearer, and oddments 7) to 10 per cent dearer. Competition was buoyant throughout, Eastern Europe and the Continent being the main bidders, supported by the United States, Japan and the Middle East. Wool Marketing Corporation buying was nil. The offering of 13,092 bales was 65 per cent secondishear, 15 per cent full fleece, and 20 per cent lambs’ wool and oddments.
