Milk powder and medical supplies being loaded aboard an R.N.Z.A.F. Hercules at Tengah Air Base, Singapore, before the aircraft flew to Saigon yesterday. This was New Zealand’s first contribution of food to arrive in Saigon since the plight of refugees and orphans became worse in the last two weeks. The Hercules, commanded by Wing Commander A. E. Thomson, officer commanding No. 40 Squadron, with Squadron Leader Noel Rodger as extra captain, carried about 13 tons of New Zealand and French milk powder.
