It took six months for an English jewellery designer and five craftsmen to make and assemble this solid silver waistcoat. The garment, which is a showpiece only, weighs 25lb (11kg) and each of the hundreds of pieces carries the hallmark of the English Assay Office. It was displayed recently at a New York jewellery show.
