Tax rebate for Americans

Congressional negotiators have approved a maximum of SUS2OO in rebate of 1974 income taxes for Americans, but have failed to reach final agreement on a record taxcut bill aimed at boosting the economy.
Tax-writers from the House of Representatives and Senate yesterday slashed SUS66OOm in tax cuts previously approved in the Senate’s net SUS3O,6OOm tax bill, but have delayed further bargaining until today. Consideration of ending the controversial oil-depletion allowance tax benefit for oil companies, a SUS22OO tax reduction for buyers of new homes, and a SUSIOO cash bonus to. Social Security pensioners, held up final approval of a compromise bill.
