Thirty-one years service in the Royal New Zealand Air Force will end soon for Warrant Officer D. T. Hawks, a general service instructor, who at present is a senior instructor at the general serivice training school at Wig- ! ram.

During World War 11, Warrant Officer Hawks served at bases throughout New Zealand. For a period in the 19505, he served in Singapore as No. 14 Squadron’s warrant officer, and in 1971 served with No. 41 Squadron in Singapore.

Warrant Officer Hawks spent more than 10 years at the Boy Entrant School at Woodbourne, and for his outstanding services to the Airman Cadet School (as it was later renamed) was awarded the Chief of the Air Staff’s commendation.
