Marlborough, Nelson: Winds turning slowly to the north-east and easing gradually but still up to gale force in exposed places; rainy and unsettled, the rain lighter away from the ranges; mild. Buller, Westland: Easterlies to gale force and winds locally squally; cloudy and mild; rain at times. Outlook: Unsettled, areas of rain.
