“Perks” in the U.S.S.R.
Sir, — Your correspondent “M.C.H.” omitted to mention one important reason why the people in the U.S.S.R. are not on the dole. They are simply sent to forced labour camps in Siberia. If your correspondent is advocating a similar system for New Zealand, I am sure, the people on the dole may not agree. — Yours etc., IVAN. March 12, 1975.
