Marlborough Miss picked at Waikato

(“The Press" Special Service) AUCKLAND.

Marlborough Miss would not need to show much improvement on her form at Whangarei on Saturday to be one of the best prospects at the Waikato Trotting Club’s meeting at Claudelands tonight After being well back most of the way and being forced over considerable extra ground when setting out after the leaders, she did very well to finish second to the speedy Cambridge four-year-old. Charles Hope.

The opposition in the First Farewell Mobile Pace does not look strong and Marlborough Miss looks sure to be hard to beat.

Josias will probably be the favourite for the Benson and Hedges Handicap and first leg of the T.A.B. double. The InterDominion trotting champion, Castelton’s Pride, is fancied for the second leg, the Waikato Invitation Trot. Selections:
