OBITUARY Mr Dick Pelham
I (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA. Mr Dick Pelham., a 1926-27 Maori All Black, a New Zealand swimming champion in 1925, and an outstanding figure in the New Zealand surf life-saving movement for many years, died yesterday in Rotorua. Mr Pelham, who was 74, ; was one of the two full-backs (selected for the 1926-27 Maori All Black team that played in Australia. Ceylon, I France, England, Wales, Canada. and New Zealand. In the 19305. he represented New Zealand in surf I competitions. He never lost (interest in the sport.
