Big haul of marijuana
(NZ. Press Assn —Copyright) SYDNEY. Police seized marijuana worth more than $2.2 million at Thrilmere, about 80km south-west of Sydney, on Friday, in one of Australia’s biggest drug raids. A 44-year-old Greek man was arrested and charged with having marijuana in his possession for sale. Police said they found 5000 marijuana plants growing on a small farm and 9001 b of processed marijuana ready for sale. They estimated the value of the plants to be well in excess of $2 million and the processed mariiuana $250,000. The processed marijuana was found in 11b and 51b bags in a shed on the farm. It will be burnt under police supervision.
