Bottle deposit deputation
A deputation of three Labour members of Parliament will approach the Minister of Trade and Industry’ (Mr Freer) in an attempt to obtain a higher deposit on beer bottles. The members for Invercargill (Mr J. B. Munro), Waitemata, (Dr M. E. R. Bassett), and Rangiora (Mr T. K. Burke) will form the deputation.
Mr Burke said yesterday, that the three had been impressed by arguments in favour of a higher deposit which had appeared in newspapers recently.
