All Hands picked for Stratford

The top galloper All Hands could return to his best form with a win in the Stratford Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Stratford Racing Club’s autumn meeting today. All Hands, which compiled an enviable record last season has had a couple of runs on his present campaign and should now be close to his best.
His most recent outing at Hawera in the Egmont Cup was an Impressive performance and with a better run today in a slightly weaker field he must be respected. If form from the Egmont Cup proves a reliable guide San Michelle will be a strong chance. She chased Ayub Khan and Heckles Choice home in the Hawera event and then showed her fitness with a win over 3200 metres at Terapa. The stablemates Davlyn and Heckles Choice will be well supported. Davlyn ran a bold race in the Rangitikei Cup and in similar form today would lead bis rivals a merry chase. After his impressive Te Rapa win Koporoa looks the one to beat in the second leg of the S'tyllsh Pal Handicap. Koporoa has done everything right since he resumed racing and on a course that should suit him appeals strongly. Hagen’s Merit won at Stratford at New Year. Her form since has been fairly ordinary but her recent work’ suggests she is capable of improving.
Career Girl’s form is hard to fault and off the minimum looks a strong chance, while Stvlish Pal has been freshened since his holiday racing where he gained a win at New Plymouth and a second at Stratford. Selections:—
