Milking of sheep Do New Zealand farmers ever milk their sheep? A recent delegation to Lincoln College from Bulgaria was so impressed with the college sheep that they bought 10 Corriedale and five Border Leicester stud ewes and a stud ram of each breed from the college stud farm. The principal (Professor J. D. Stewart) told the college council yesterday that in Bulgaria, where there are about five million sheep, they were milked to produce cheeses and yoghurt. “It will be interesting to see how] some of the North Canter-' bury sheep milk in Bulgaria,*’ ! he said.
