j (N.Z. Press Assn-—Copy*nght) PHNOM PENH. Feb. 24. Rebel forces have blown up an ammunition dump and hit a hospital in further rocket bombardment of the Cambodian capital and its airport. One person was killed and nine were wounded. Official sources said that three barrages totalling 24 rockets smashed into the I | capital area yesterday. At Pochentong tional Airport, one of the; ’ rockets hit a stockpile of! artillery and mortar ammunition, blowing up several’ i dozen rounds. Inside Phnom Penh, another of the deadly 40-pound rockets hit just outside the main wards at the French Calmette hospital, witnesses 5 said. One hospital employee! was killed and another; wounded by the rocket. Eight other civilians were wounded by another rocket ' which hit the Phnom Penh ■ central market, a frequent; target for pro-Communist ; rebel gunners at the edge of : . the city. Yesterday was the 555th j consecutive day of rocket i attacks on the Phnom Penh 1 | area. More than 1000 rounds : i have hit the capital area since ! New Year’s Eve, official ‘ figures showed.
