(N.Z. Press Association) GORE, February 24. A Timaru competitor, Adrian Cox, has won the South Island •‘shearer of the year” award for 1974-75. Competition for the award was completed at the South Island autumn championships held at Gore over the week-end. Final placlngs in the contest were; A. Cox (Timaru), 545 points; M. Boyd (Inangahua), 534; S. Weir (Invercargill), 525; W. Potae (Milton), 521; R. Howes (Gore), 519; J. Hough (Riversdale), 517; R. Heke (Temuka), 514.
