Date set to open House

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. The official opening of Parliament had been set down for Tuesday, March 25, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Tizard) said today. The opening would be performed by the GovernorGeneral (Sir Denis Blundell). It was possible that Parliament would sit for a normal working session on Wednesday, March 26, but it would not sit on the Thursday, the day before Good Friday, Mr Tizard said. The session would resume on Tuesday, April 1, at 7.30 p.m. with the start of the Address-in-Reply debate.
