Schoolgirl will fence for N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. A 15-y ear-old Auckland schoolgirl, Gillian Wood, is the only female selected to represent New Zealand at the world under-20 fencing championships in Mexico City next month and at the Australian under-20 titles in June. The other members of the team are:— Stephen Clarke (University of Otago) and Stephen Tillman (Christchurch Boys’ High School), foil, sabre and epee: David Cocker (Y.M.C.A., Auckland), foil and epee; Andrew Coker fOhakea), foil and sabre: and Dene Egglestone (University of Auckland), sabre.
