Opera star study
In “Aquarius — Kiri Te Kanawa,” Humphrey Barton introduces a programme on opera star Kiri Te Kanawa, focusing on her role as Marguerite in Gounod’s “Faust.” Part one features rehearsal work on “Jewel Song” at the London Opera Centre. Part two opens with a selection of photos from Lord Snowdon’s portfolio on Covent Garden and then moves on to a studio for a “piano-dress” rehearsal of “Jewel Song.” “Aquarius — Kiri Te Kanawa,” a London Weekend Television production, screens on Monday at 8.57 p.m.
