Setback for club
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON.
The Wellington Rowing Club had high hopes of success at the national championships next week, but now such hopes are all but shattered. The five boats which the club was to have taken to the national championships, beginning at Lake Waihola on Monday, were smashed when a car collided with the parked trailer bearing the craft. Damage to the boats was estimated at $4OOO. Club-members are now trying to borrow boats from other clubs.
