GV Z PA.-Reuter—Copyright) | HONG KONG, Feb. 21. | An ancient paiace, nearly: 3500 years old. and a tomb containing skeletons of * slaves killed as human! sacrifices, have been dis-; covered in Hupeh province,; China, recently, the New China News Agency has re-i ported. The rectangular palace 1 measures 38.2 metres by 11' metres. In the tomb were three: skeletons of slaves, and al wooden coffin with exquisite| animal mask designs, and thunder and cloud decora-' tions. The finds, which provided important scientific data for the study of Chinese slave I society, dated from the Shang dynasty, which ruled from the sixteenth toI eleventh centuries B.C.
