Australia has been invited to send a cricket team to tour Pakistan early next year now that its proposed visit to South Africa has been cancelled. The Pakistan Cricket Board proposed a three-test series in a cable sent to Australian authorities. Australia last toured Pakistan 15 years ago and negotiations were under way for another visit in 1979-80.
