Gift worth $30,000
•XZ Press 4sjiocuition» DUNEDIN. Feb. 3. A $30,000 gift has been made to the University of Otago Medical School by the pharmaceutical company. ’ ’erck Sharp and Dohme (N.Z.), Ltd. to mark the centenary of the school this year. The gift is to provide audio-visual equipment in the new Barnett and Colquhjun lecture theatres of the school. The dean of the faculty of medicine (Professor J. D. Hunter) said that the equinment would allow an audience of up to 460 to watch medical presentations either b' direct closed circuit or fi'med colour television.
