Old skeleton, found
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyrights, PARIS. The skeleton of a humanlike female creature believed to be three million years old will be flown to the United States shortly for more detailed examination, says a member of an international expedition to Ethiopia. Scientists on the expedition to the Afar area of Ethiopia dug up the skeleton last month from beneath rocks dating back between three and four million years, said Mrs Dugrun Corvinus of the West German Tubingen University.
The skeleton is that of a one-metre tall adult female who lived to be about 20 years old.
