Miss Joanne Rennie, a keen horse rider, was prompted to ride in a gig to lead her wedding procession to St Mary’s Anglican Church. Rangiora, on Saturday. She said that both she and her mother thought of the gigs, but neither knew that the other had the same idea. Mrs Rennie made the arrangements for the procession from their home in Blackett Street to the church, where Miss Rennie was married to Mr C. R. Hale. The bride was driven by Mr L. H. A. Bush. Other members of the wedding party were driven by his two sons, his daughter, and son-in-law.
