Post Office appointments
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Five senior appointments in the Post Office have been announced today by the Post-master-General (Mr Douglas) after the retirement of the Deputy Director-General (Mr A. D. L. Lamont) and an Assistant Director-General, Mr A. W. Brockway. Mr G. M. Peters, an assistant Director-General since February, 1972, has been appointed Deputy DirectorGeneral.
Messrs F. B. Leighton and A. T. Squire have been made Assistant Directors-General. Mr Leighton has been director of telephone sen-ices since 1973 and Mr Squire director of accounts since 1967.
Mr A C. McLennan, a principal of the telephone division since 1967, has been appointed director of telephone services. Mr A. H. R. Zillwood, a divisional accountant, has been appointed director of accounts.
