B team has big win
Canterbury B ended its North Island tour with a nine wicket win against Wanganui on Saturday. It dismissed Wanganui for a meagre 96 in the second innings and had little difficulty in scoring the necessary runs for victory. Scores were: Canterbury B 228/7 dec. (A. McKendry 60, J. Phillips 50, R. Pither 35 not out, K. Collins 25) and 55/1 (P. Hammant 19 not out), Wanganui 185 and 96 (P. D’Auvergne 5/22, Pither 3/26, Hammant 2/33).
