International talk-back
An international radio talk-back programme involving listeners from countries throughout the world, including New Zealand, will be broadcast on the National Programme this morning.
It will be the second of a two part programme organised by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on the world population crisis. The guest speaker will be a prominent Canadian journalist and author on the subject, Lord R. Ritchie-Calder. Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and possibly a few African countries will be connected to the broadcast from Canada during the programme. New Zealanders wishing to participate have to telephone Broadcasting House in Wellington, collect, and they can be connected with the compere in Canada. The N.Z.BC. will pay for the international toll calls.
The first part of the programme was heard on the National Programme yester-
day morning. It was a documentary showing the attempted solutions to the problems of population and asked why they had failed.
