Recreational subsidies
Subsidies totalling $4272 have been approved for recreational and sporting projects in the Riccarton Borough, according to the Minister of Recreation and Sport (Mr Walding). The projects had been rei commended to the Minister by the Riccarton Borough Council’s consultative committee. Details of subsidies (approved are:— Riccarton Community Activities, $792; Addington 'Workshop Brass Band, $667; Mona Vale Bowling Club, :$6l; Wharenui Swimming I Club. $2652; Addington Rugby League Football Club, $lOO.
