Aust. deficit increased
(K.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) CANBERRA, January 10. Federal Government spending in the six months to December has resulted in a deficit of $2190.3m. This compares with a deficit in the previous corresponding period of $1856.9m. The Budget deficit for 1974-75 is $570-sm. Markedly increased spending occurred in defence, education, health, social security and welfare, housing and urban and regional development.
