Phillips is new leader

The Old Collegians batsman, J. G. Phillips, has taken over the lead In the Lion “player of the day” contest being run in the senior cricket competition. Phillips’s second half-cen-tury against Sydenham earned him another award of two points and a total of 11. He is one ahead of P. G. Coman and B. G. Hadlee. K. J. Wadsworth and G. D. V.
