Netballers make highest score
(N.Z.PA. Staff Correspondent) LONDON. The touring New Zealand women’s netball team had its tenth successive victory when beating a South England side. 81-40, at Bracknell, Essex, on Saturday.
It was the visitors highest score of their unbeaten tour, and at no stage were they really extended. The New Zealand coach (Mrs L. Muir) called it “a good team effort.” I The quarter scorers were: 24-7, 41-19, 61-26, 81-40. The centre C. Pietzner (Canterbury), played a good, solid game, and the captain, S. Langrope (Canterbury), in
■ her third match since recoi ering from a back injuf) fed the attack well.
These two players coni ibined so well that they “vii I tually annihilated the oppu I sition defence,” Mrs Mui ’ said. “They made it loq i easy.” L. Gunson (Otago) als played well, spearheadin the defence, while the goal keeper. M. Munro (Welling ton), and the wing defenci Y.
