Paintings to aid fund
A painting by the Italian artist, C. Simonetti, was auctioned by Canon R. A. Lowe in aid of the National Heart Foundation at the opening of the Nova Gallery in Christchurch last evening.
The painting was knocked down to Mr Tracy Gough for $265. The gailerv was opened by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr H. G. Hay), who was introduced by Mr Gilbert Glausiuss, one of the proprietors of the Nova Gallery. Mr Roger Ballantyne expressed thanks on behalf of the Heart Foundation.
