Vice-Regal activities
The biennial national conference of the Girls Brigade of New Zealand was opened by the wife of the GovernorGeneral (Lady Blundell) on Saturday morning, and the Governor-General (Sir Denis Blundel’) played golf at the Russley Golf Course in the afternoon.
Yesterday His Excellency flew to Wellington to attend the investiture of the Order of St John, returning in the evening.
Today Their Excellencies will visit Hagley High School and hold a luncheon at Bishopscourt. In the evening Sir Denis will be the guest of the president and members of the Canterbury Club.
