Andretti drove to j second place in the recent J United States Formula 5000 , I series. He is treating the 'j series here as a shakedown | prior to his taking over the i No. 1 Formula 5000 spot in the Parnelli Jones team from Andretti next season. Andretti is moving into Formula One. The youngest in a family of car racing drivers, Al Unser became one of only four men to win the Indianpolis 500 in successive seasons — 1970 and 1971. He holds third place in The United States Auto Club career national champiowihps with a total of 27 wins. E. Noyes (United States), who has toured the New Zealand and Australian circuits twice before without much success, has confirmed that he will be coming again this year. S. Posey (California), who drove well despite problems with his Surtees in the 1973 series, is expected in one of the Talons for the coming championship.
