Skelton his first winning ride. Blue Raider is trained at Levin bySkelton’s uncle, E. B. Skelton, for Miss L. G. Lane, a Levinbased school teacher who formerly taught the lad. Who was the most “keyed-up" person in the jockeys’ room after the race? None other than the lad’s father. W. D. Skelton. “f was watching from the stand but feel as if I’ve just had the hardest ride of my life,” Skelton told “The Press.’’
