Change of course
Two of Canterbury’s bestknown track athletes will turn to marathon running in the Christchurch Harrier Club’s open 26 miles 385 yard race from Q.E. II Park today. They are R. Sharpe (New Brighton) and K. Hamilton (Technical), who have decided to specialise in the longer distance. Both have the basic speed, and stamina [to evolve into two of the best prospects over this dis-1 Stance the province has pro-' ■duced. The race has attracted an I entry of 42 runners, and will; be held on a four-lap course, in the New Brighton area.' The marathon replaces the annual race held by the United Harrier Club.
