Diphtheria case
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Oct. 25. Another positive case of diphtheria has been found in Ngaruawahia. The medical officer of health for the Hamilton health district (Dr E. H. Gordon) said that a positive report was sent in by a Ngaruawahia doctor, but it was not yet known whether the patient was a case .or a carrier. The Health Department has performed skin tests on Ngaruawahia Schoolchildren, and Dr Gordon said the tests may prove that those tested have a 90 per cent immunity to diphtheria.
