U.N. Women’s Year. Mrs Helvi Sipilaf assistant Secre-tary-General for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nationsl has been appointed Secretary-General of International Women’s Year (1975) and the U.N.’s conference on women. The international conference is to be held as a focal point

of the world-wide observance of the year. Mrs Sipila is a Finnish lawyer.
