Runner ahead of schedule
Nearly 300 pupils of the Cheviot District High School lining the school fence, cheered the Christchurch runner, D. G. Cameron, yesterday on his way to attempt to break the 1300 mile record from Bluff to Cape Reinga. Cameron yesterday completed about 53 miles to reach a point about six miles south of Kaikoura. He ran about 50 miles the previous day to put him about three days ahead of the record.
