New chairman for N.F.C.
I A new chairman of direction has been appointed to head the board of directors of the Nelson Freezing Company, Ltd, after the takeover by Waitaki Industries, Ltd.
Mr E. J. Neilson, managing director of Waitaki Industries, has been appointed as chairman on the Nelson board, to succeed Mr A. R. Drummond.
The Nelson directors also announced a new staff appointment: Mr G. R. Stobie has been appointed assistant manager of the company. Mr Stobie and Mr F. J. Gribboe, the company secretary, will have separate responsibilities under the direction of the general manager (Mr L. N. Heath). Mr F. B. McKenzie, Waitaki’s group general manager has also joined the board of N.F.C.
