Maori artefacts
Sir, —I object to the proposed legislation dealing with Maori artefacts. Our present Government is committed to the ethic of the so-called natural rights of the individual. Unfortunately the very nationalism it engenders is reflected in the stand taken by pressure groups who seek to curtail the freedom of the individual the Government is meant to protect, and so endangers the quality of life which was of some concern to the late Norman Kirk— Yours etc., T.
