Four must wait
Four candidates for two seats on the Christchurch City Council will have to wait until the counting of special votes before they know who will win — but any change from the election-night placings will not change the balance of power on the council.
In the Pegasus ward. Cr W. Massey has a lead of 65 votes over another Labour candidate. Miss V. S. Buck. Two Citizens candidates. Messrs R. H. Arbuckle and A. E. Ansell, are separated by 44 votes for the fourth seat in the East ward.
