Sir, — In his letter on September 30 “Exoteric” writes that “Mute’s” letter was “a justifiable criticism of the discursive statements made at the recent election meeting of the Environmental Vanguard Organisation.” “Exoteric” voluntarily informed me of his identity,
when I happened to see him today about another matter. I pointed out that he had not attended our election meeting, which he immediately confirmed. As the statement quoted above would lead anyone to conclude that its author had been present to hear the Mayoral .and other candidates, as I myself concluded, I write to dispell this false impression conveyed by the statement. — Yours, etc., HELEN HERVEY, Chairman, Environmental Vanguard Organisation.
